Overview

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) mission is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. To assist the FWS in their work, PSG managed the relocation to their new headquarters.

The move came as an effort to consolidate three offices, with leases expiring, into one office. PSG's scope of work included coordination of the entire relocation. We developed the overall move plan, created schedules, reviewed vendor proposals and made recommendations.

Project Highlights

PSG managed the relocation of 807 people in five days, working 16-18 hour shifts. We ensured the move was completed on time and to the client's satisfaction.

The move consisted of personnel and contents, office equipment and furniture, including safes, computers, and 20,000 move crates.

The new FWS headquarters design is based on a wildlife theme and divided into the five major biomes found in the world.

The energy-efficient building and lower rental rate will save $3.8 million annually for the next 15 years, and trim the agency’s footprint by 72,233 square feet.

PSG's efforts resulted in a happy client and an office ready for business.
