Overview

PSG’s staff began working with this communications giant when Sprint, formerly Nextel Communications, embarked on an ambitious program of subscriber growth, supported by a similar expansion in administrative and support facilities.

In order to implement the expansion of real estate, Nextel contracted with a PSG as their professional project management firm to manage, coordinate, and oversee the execution of tenant improvement projects throughout the United States. Even after Sprint and Nextel merged in 2005, PSG continued to work with the new company.

“In every sense of the concept, PSG personnel have been a key partner in the successful development of the company’s real estate facilities.”  ~Sprint Real Estate Executive

Project Highlights

Over a ten-year period PSG managed and coordinated the development of more than eight million square feet of new real estate facilities including office spaces, warehouses, call centers, switched communications sites, network operations centers, and retail facilities.

PSG began by creating an Office Development Handbook defining roles, responsibilities, key personnel, processes, schedules, and standards.

Using our planning and implementation tools we renovated an entire 33,000 square foot executive floor in only nine calendar days.

PSG formulated an entire project team (architect, engineer, contractor, audio-visual vendor, furniture dealer, and lighting distributor) specifically structured for the development of new call centers.

We successfully completed Sprint Headquarters expansion, reconstruction, and restacking of over 700,000 square feet 3,500 employees, and scheduling of over 31 phases.

PSG developed a website to track project development and progress; a tool that paid for itself in the first six months of implementation.
